After the presidential election in Kazakhstan, President Kasim-Jomart Tokayev will make his first foreign visit to Russia - a pacification visit. In addition, Tokayev agreed to Putin's proposal to form an alliance with the participation of Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, in order not to offend Putin. Uzbek political scientist Kamoliddin Rabbimov wrote about this on his Telegram channel.
"It is important to have a deeper understanding of Tokayev's visit to Russia. For the next three years, the relationship between Tokayev and Putin is cold, they do not trust each other at all. However, he is forced to conduct diplomatic relations. Putin is busy with Ukraine. He cannot open a second front to Kazakhstan. Not enough resources. Tokayev also started his first post-election visit to Russia.
This is called a "pacification visit": calm down, I am not your enemy, I will not oppose you. If you yourself respect my territory and independence, we will not be enemies," says Rabbimov.
According to the political scientist, the Kazakh elite is well aware that Putin's political life is rapidly shortening. Therefore, when he is confused, he should not be allowed to direct his anger towards Kazakhstan.
"It was important to go to Moscow and appease Putin. Now, on the part of Moscow, "let's make a tripartite alliance!" If Tokayev answers "no" to the offer, then he will visit the guest and make the host happy again.
