Medvedev: if NATO supplies Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine, they will become a legitimate target of the Russian Armed Forces

If NATO supplies Patriot complexes to Kyiv, they will immediately become a legitimate target for Russian strikes, Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev wrote on his Telegram channel.
“If, as Stoltenberg hinted, NATO supplies Kyiv fanatics with Patriot complexes along with NATO personnel, they will immediately become a legitimate target of our armed forces. I hope the Atlantic impotents understand this,” he wrote.
NATO countries are discussing possible deliveries of Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems to Ukraine, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said earlier following the results of the first day of meetings of the foreign ministers of the countries of the alliance. At the same time, the Pentagon also noted that they are not yet ready to provide fighters to Ukraine and do not include this issue in the list of their immediate priorities.

The Russian Federation has previously sent a note to NATO countries because of the supply of weapons to Ukraine. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov noted that any cargo that contains weapons for Ukraine will become a legitimate target for Russia. The Foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation stated that the NATO countries are "playing with fire" by supplying weapons to Ukraine. Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov noted that pumping Ukraine with weapons from the West does not contribute to the success of Russian-Ukrainian negotiations and will have a negative effect.
